Kristen's Babies

April 11th, 2005 marks yet another sad day for our family.  Rigby James, (Riggy) ferret #2 has left us to join Kristen in heaven. Rigby was a very special ferret. He was a dark eyed white, and hard of hearing.  Kristen loved this little guy, and spoiled him terribly.

Kristen's baby Phil

With a heart of gold, Kristen adopted 2 ferrets, Phil and Lil. Today, July 12, 2005 after almost 2 years of sickness Philly left us to be with the angels.

Here is a picture of Phil, after loosing his hair.

Baby "Stewie"

October 23rd, 2005 marks another sad day as we put to rest baby "Stewie".  Recently diagnoised with cancer, Stewie lost his fight. Stewie the youngest ferret, KD's baby, and one of her favorites now is safely in her arms.

Bennigan

Bennigan was diagnosed with insulinomia (the ferrets version of diabetes). We tried treatment to help his disease, but it wasn't helping him.  His health was declining.  We put him to rest on Thursday, June 8th, 2006, at the age of 6 years old. Bennigan will always hold a special place in my heart as his name was the name that the Physic used to tell me that Kristen was in the room with me.  He is now with Kristen and will forever live on in our hearts.

Riley Cole Douglas

July 17th, 2006 is the angel date for Riley Cole Douglas. Riley was taken in the vet for a check up and had exploritory surgery to remove a mass in his stomach. Riley came home, but never fully woke up from surgery.  Another baby into the arms of our angel.

The picture on the right is the mass that was taken out of Riley stomach.  It was 1 1/2 inches in length. Dr. Eckdale told us that he had only seen this once before and it was in a cow, never in a ferret.  It was a calcification of hair.

Dillion Steele Douglas

July 21st, 2006 just 4 days after loosing Riley, Dillion lost his fight for life and went into the arms of Kristen.  We tried everything for Dillion, but the stomach ulcers took over. Our babies will be sadly missed.

Angel Alexis "Lexi" Pearl

Another one of KD's babies are now watching over us.  Alexis "Lexi" Pearl left us this evening May 19th, 2007.  She passed away in my arms, but will forever be in our hearts.

Daddy's little "Shaboopie"

August 10th, 2007 Lillianna is our newest Angel

"Lillianna", "Lil' or "Lilly" was one of the toughest old ferrets that I've ever seen.  She was always fisty and ready to chomp on her Poppies arm in a second.  Lilly had been sick since December of 2005 but would bounce back and play, but after a week long battle of sickness Lilly gave up her fight. She will be with her brother Philly that we lost in 2005 now and will be missed so much by her remaining kits, Dawson, Kipcey, Scout, Bear, Myla and Kaylea. I will miss her the most as we had a special bond together and this past week of holding her, feeding her and cleaning her will been so very memorable. We will miss you Lilly!!!

Lilly has on her sweater that her Nonie sent to her to keep her little body warm.

Rocko

8-17-07 Kristen's big dog, best buddy was sent to be with her to be safe in her arms. We will miss him terribly as he was our 'little boy".  Rocko treated everyone with a tail wag, big kisses and always wanted a friendly scratch behind his ears. This was the very last pictures taken of him last weekend in his pool.  He loved to sit in his pool but hated to swim. Another part of our family has left us, and we will forever keep his memories so close to our hearts.

Myla June 11-26-07

Myla June was KD's first baby to be brought home. She was a spitfire, never wanting to be held, but wanted much attention.  She kissed and groomed only her girl, but after we lost KD, she would occassionally give her old Nana a grooming of my eyebrows. She was a fighter up to the end, and will always hold a place dear to our hearts. She is now in the arms of her Angel where she will be loved forever.
