KD Loved Life

 

 

One of her favorite friends was "bear bear". Bear was given to KD on Easter 1986 by her Aunt Darla. He went with her to get her ears pierced and got his done also.  Bear still sits in KD's rocking chair just as she left him.

 

KD loved the outdoors.

 

KD's very first and best friend is Bryon Kinsman.  Bryon and KD were only children for a long time and thought that they were brother and sister.

Speed & Wheels

 

 

Starting out young, KD loved anything that would go fast. We took her to the Dunes on vacation and she just loved riding the ATV's.

KD's skates will forever stay in her closet.  We found them in the trunk of her car. How she loved these old skates.

 

 Skates were KD's mobility for many years.  She got her first pair of skates on May 30th, 1994. Her and her cousin DJ are having fun on wheels. She would travel every where on her skates even though she had a few bikes, the skates were her favorite.  She love the speed that they had when she let the dogs pull her. Above  she is at Maumee Bay State Park with her favorite puppy Rocko and best Friend Amy.  Her skates were her training tool during soccer season because she hated to run, but always loved to skate.

   Kristen's love was the pool. Her dad and her always wanted a pool, and couldn't wait to get it in.  She was in the water the first day that the pool was filled and would swim all season long, well even until the snow fell (with the heater on).  We couldn't keep her out of it!  She would dive from the sides as graceful as a bird, it would give me heart failure when she jumped.
   

 

 

Fire and Friends 

 

Fire!  This is not one of the biggest fires ever set by KD, but she loved the fire.  After moving to Bloomington, she would find anything that she could to burn.  Her and dad would burn cabinets, chairs, and pools! The bigger the better.

A rainy nasy day outside and we would find KD and her friends, Tasha, Jason and Jeff all cuddled up in bed watching a good movie.  Now, we have tv sets, but Jason always came over with the computer and cool DVD's to watch.  We always knew where to find the kids, down stairs hanging out. What a great bunch of kids!

 

When the cat is away the mice will play.  Kristen had herself a good old time when Mom and Dad went to Ohio.  She had some friends over and had herself a party.  She was so happy in this picture.

Cozzy was Kristen's very first pet.  We got Cozzy from my sister Deb as a kitten and lived as one of our family members until he was around 14 years old. Kristen dearly loved her kitty.

Fins the Fish

"Fins" the fish was one of the many fishes that KD had/has.  Fins as of today 3-26-2006 is still swimming around. She loved building her aquarium into different sections with many fishes and newts. I think that the newts were her favorite as she would take them out of the aquarium and pet and hold them. 

UPDATE:  August 13th, 2006 we laid Fins to rest, he will be sadly missed by all as we are loosing yet another piece of our angel!

 Kristen loved children. While in Jr. High at Fasset Middle School, Oregon, Ohio, she taught Safety town to the elementary students. They all called her "Miss Kristen".  

Vampriress? or KD?

 Sometimes I wonder if this was KD's true identity? I will be adding more pictures of her in this costume, that was mine and her Aunt Darla's when we were little.  She wore the slip that was her Nonie's slip for many years and the very last pictures that we recieved from her Nonie she was dressed in this slip.

This is one of many "Doodlings" that KD did.  I will add more later.

KD's Room

This was the place where KD felt safe, and hung out with her friends.  A typical teenagers room.  We were under construction and allowed her to decorate how she wanted ... little did we know about the black lite paintings from her and her friends on the ceiling.

 

 

 

 

 

 

This is John... He also lived in KD's room with her. He would scare the you know what out of me everytime I would go in there in the dark, forgeting he was there. John was somewhat of a comfort for KD. She would talk to me and she was written about him in her journals... One day I will add those postings...
